The History of London Clarion Cycle Club
The London Clarion Cycle Club was first mentioned in the Clarion newspaper on 11th May 1895 by W H Crisp, who was looking for members to join the club. W H Crisp resided at 45 Wirtemberg Street in Clapham SW4, which was later renamed Stonhouse Street. The inaugural ride of the London Clarion Cycle Club took place on 25th May 1895 from Sydenham Station to Farnborough.

Formation du North London Clarion Cycling Club.
Le 4 juillet 1896, le Clarion a signalé la formation d'un club cycliste du nord de Londres Clarion, avec une randonnée jusqu'à Hatfield.
En juillet 1898, le siège du club du nord de Londres s'installe au North London Socialist Club, au 30 Durham Road, à Finsbury Park. Plus tard dans l'année, un concert bohème est organisé par les membres du sud de Londres à l'Albion Hotel, Ludgate Circus.
En 1899, un voyage du club de Balham à Banstead Corner pour un pique-nique annuel à Otford a eu lieu le 18 juin.
