London to Brighton: a one way ride with train back to London.

85km/53 miles with 2,900ft climbing. Departing from Brickwood Coffee and Bread, Clapham Common, SW4 7AB. We'll leave at 08:30. The cafe is open from 08:00 and has a toilet.

This is a beautiful route with some lovely quieter lanes than used in the big mass participation events. But be aware this is one of the hillier routes we do. Ditchling Beacon towards the end is particularly challenging. The route is 100% on road surfaces and suitable for any tyres in good condition, although some stretches can get muddy/gritty after rain.

We’ll have lunch at Turner’s Hill. The ride finishes at Brighton beach and we can get ice cream or a drink there.
