Who We Are
London Clarion Cycle Club is a friendly, social cycling community offering relaxed group rides across London and the surrounding countryside. We're a cycling club that focuses on enjoyment, conversation, and community rather than speed or competition.

Our rides are designed as mixed ability for those wishing to improve their cycling and returning cyclists to experienced riders who prefer a steady, sociable pace. If you're looking for a welcoming London cycling club where everyone is included, you'll feel right at home.

Who Our Rides Are For
Our rides are ideal for anyone who wants a relaxed, friendly cycling experience. We recommend a baseline average speed of around 12mph (20 kph) to ensure group safety and comfort.

What We Do
We run a varied programme of rides throughout the year:
Park and Casual Rides
Gentle loops through London's parks and green spaces. Perfect for new riders or anyone wanting a relaxed social spin.
Culture Rides
Historical and themed rides uncovering London's hidden stories, landmarks, and neighbourhoods.

Country Escapes
Longer weekend adventures into Kent, Essex, and Surrey. Scenic routes, great company, and café stops. Rides include London to Brighton, London to Cambridge and London to Southend.

Social Events
Occasional off bike meet ups, such as a summer picnic ride and Christmas Drinks. Many of our rides also finish at a pub.

Our History
London Clarion Cycle Club is part of the historic Clarion Cycling Club movement, founded in 1895. Inspired by the Clarion newspaper sand its values of fellowship and equality, early Clarion cyclists organised rides, camping trips, and social events that brought people together through the joy of cycling. We have a proud club history.
