Ride Report A strong and well-balanced group made for a very enjoyable ride from Highbury & Islington out to Southend. The team worked well together throughout, maintaining a consistent and efficient pace which allowed us to make excellent time over the distance.

Road conditions were generally favourable, with traffic remaining light for most of the route. There was one short stretch with heavier traffic, which the group managed well with good awareness and positioning.

We made a single stop at Hanningfield Nature Reserve, which provided a well-timed break for refreshments and facilities. Aside from this, the ride was completed with minimal interruptions, helping to maintain momentum across the full distance.

There was one minor mechanical issue during the ride, which was quickly resolved without impacting overall progress.

Overall, a smooth, well-paced ride with a great team dynamic and a strong collective effort throughout.

Safety: No incidents. Good group discipline and communication throughout, particularly when navigating the busier traffic section.

Mechanical Issues: One minor issue, resolved quickly at the roadside with no impact to the group.

Route Notes: Generally clear roads with one short section of heavier traffic. The Hanningfield Nature Reserve stop is a good option for future rides on this route.
